WHAT IF TOMMY ROBINSON DIES IN JAIL?
Tommy Robinson, political activist turned journalist was today arrested while livestreaming on Facebook. He and his colleagues were broadcasting commentary on a particularly gruesome gang-rape / pedophilia trial in progress in Leeds. Reporting restrictions
are in place regarding this trial - a somewhat controversial issue in itself - but Robinson's commentary was confined to observations and reasonable speculations. Footage of his arrest and the livestream preceding it can be viewed here
and was being viewed by 10,000+ interested parties at the time of the arrest. A Police officer can be heard stating that Robinson is being arrested "on suspicion of inciting a breach of the peace" - a charge which appears extremely flimsy as he is in fact talking into cellphone on a public street, and stating information which is already in the public realm.
Tommy Robinson's colleague Caolan Robertson initially reported that Robinson has been given a 13 month sentence and jailed. Robertson's Twitter feed appears to be suspended and details are only emerging slowly.
THE WAR ON FREE SPEECH
If Robinson is indeed jailed, this could be a pivotal moment in what has been a gradually escalating tension between the UK public and the authorities, centred on the widespread belief that a two-tier justice system is in play, with immigrant and in particular Muslim communities being given priority where law and order issues are concerned.
Repeated -indeed, ongoing attempts by mainstream media to portray Robinson as both racist and fascist have failed dismally, as his followers and audience have grown exponentially. In recent months the UK legal system has disgraced itself by arresting and deporting journalists from both Germany and the USA for the "offense" of merely entering Britain with intent to interview Tommy Robinson. This prompted a hugely successful video on the silencing of free speech in Britain which was viewed over a million times online. On May 6th Robinson spoke at the "Day of Freedom" march in London which attracted a huge and peaceful crowd, much to the chagrin of the left-wing scribes who were reduced to muttering darkly about the "far-right" threat whose mere existence depends entirely on their fevered imaginings and poisonous propaganda efforts, notably in the now widely-despised Guardian newspaper and the near-universally reviled BBC.
MUSLIM GANGS WILL TARGET TOMMY ROBINSON
If Robinson is placed on any normal prison wing, it is inevitable that he will be targeted for murderous assaults immediately, as Muslim gangs now represent the most powerful internal force in UK prison communities. Should he die in prison -at the hands of Islamic extremists - the authorities will undoubtedly have created a martyr and the consequences will extend far beyond their ability to spin the narrative as a simple crime and punishment story.
Make no mistake, if he is indeed in jail, Tommy Robinson is a political prisoner, and the repercussions will not be long in manifesting themselves. If Britain's judiciary continues down this totalitarian road, they will bear the lion's share of blame for what follows.
Was the judge seen to be influencial in his arrest? If so how can his trial be fair and impartial?
