Keep 2 Metres Apart During Any Conversation

Walking to the harbour in the dark this morning (at six thirty) I stopped to  the photograph a heron that has recently begun patrolling the narrow sunken stream that runs parallel to the road. There's something very pleasant about gazing down at a large wild bird while stood on a street of terraced houses. While I was fiddling with the camera, a plump woman came along pushing a smart-looking pram in which sat a collie dog. We exchanged good mornings the way people do when encountering weird strangers in the darkness before dawn. ________________________________
