As of Monday, gatherings of up to six healthy people will be permitted, but everybody must remain six feet apart. (Unless you're a professional football player, because of science). I’m a retired professional musician who still gigs for fun. On the last two weekends, we actually managed to have two gigs, the first since early March. The first was in the open air at a sports ground. There must have been at least five hundred people, all of them regular attendees at the gigs of my particular music scene. All without masks, all absolutely delighted to be out and about again, meeting old friends and glad to see that they were all still healthy, most of them dancing to the band, aglow with being off the leash for the first time in six months.
ReplyDeleteAfter two hours of playing, first by another artist and then ourselves, three small police persons arrived. They received a slow handclap from the audience as they advanced, smiling, across the dance area. Someone had, allegedly, complained about the event. Safe as they were amongst a crowd composed of law-abiding, mature white people, they proceeded to close the event down.
It would appear now that this Conservative (LOL!) chapter of the LibLabCon Uniparty has decided that we’re already having way too much fun, having been awarded a smidgeon of freedom for a few weeks by our Gauleiters for being good little collaborators. Dizzy at the prospect of finally being able to abolish Christmas, BoJo the Turkish-ancestry globalist clown has already begun the process of re-imposing Lockdown. He doesn’t care what it costs because, as you correctly stated, it’s all Monopoly money now anyway.
It’s pretty obvious surely to everyone the C-19 isn’t the Black Death – I’m surprised they haven’t found a more convincing disease to bludgeon us with. There are 1,257 hospitals in the UK. At it’s absolute peak on 2nd April, there were 644 deaths that day in hospitals which were claimed to be the result of C-19. And the overwhelming majority of these deaths were of people over 70 who were already suffering from pre-existing conditions.
I’m quite sure Johnson’s new Covid Gestapo will be very selective about which areas they visit, as above, and what sort of people they will be making an example of, again as above. And I’m quite sure we can both make a pretty educated guess about which areas they will be very careful to avoid.
Many thanks for sharing your personal experience of the collective madness we are enduring as this grotesque hoax continues. As an ex-pro musician myself (a long time ex I may add) I can all too easily picture both the emotional and psychological damage this kind of pleasure-policing can wreak on people simply attempting to enjoy one of the oldest, most important ritual joys of life - live music. This truly is an assault on our society and culture and we must all refuse and resist with everything we've got because these nutters are playing for keeps and will not be stopped without mass disobedience. Maximum respect to you for performing in the teeth of this dystopia.
